Week 3: Ansonia 62, Holy Cross 13.

The Chargers improved to 3-0 on the season, defeating the Crusaders 62-13 behind Arkeel Newsome (4 TD's) and Tajik Bagley (4 TD's) last night in Waterbury.

Newsome continued his amazing season, rushing 11 times for 309 yards, and 3 TD's. He scored on runs of 70 yards, 58 yards, and 59 yards. He also scored on a 38 yard pass from McKnight.

Bagley scored on a 70 yard pass from McKnight, and also on runs of 23, 4, and 53 yards.

Senior RB Hugh Jackson also scored on a 3 yard run.

After giving up 13 points on their first two possessions to Holy Cross, the defense got into it's groove, bottling up the Crusaders the rest of the way.

Next game is vs. WIlby at Jarvis Stadium Friday October 4th at 7:00 PM.

Ansonia on Traditions TV

Ansonia Football was featured on a television show on Sports New York (SNY) called Traditions. The Traditions crew filmed the Chargers as they practiced leading up to the game versus Watertown. Past and present coaches and players were also interviewed.
